61 31 238 Removing and installing/replacing Lane Departure Warning motor electrics (standard steering wheel)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect battery negative lead .
Remove airbag unit . See STEERING WHEEL FOR AIRBAG .

Release screws (1) and remove retaining plate (2).

Tightening torque, see 32 33 2AZ in 32 33 STEERING WHEEL

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Release screw (2).

Release screws (3) and remove motor electrics (4) complete with electrical wires.

Installation:

Replace screws (2 and 3).

Tightening torque, see 32 33 3AZ in 32 33 STEERING WHEEL
Tightening torque, see 32 33 4AZ in 32 33 STEERING WHEEL

Ensure correct cable routing.
