51 32 420 Removing and installing/replacing trim on front door window frame, left or right

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Partially detach rubber window seal (1) at rear.

Release screws (1).

Remove finisher (2) and press approx. 3 mm towards rear.

Remove trim (1) towards top.

Installation: 

All except Security version: 

Following parts must not be damaged or missing:

  1. Plastic nuts
  2. Felt strip
  3. Seal

Security version: 

M5 pull-in nuts (1) must not be damaged or missing.

Trim is designed as a protective cover and is screwed into place with M5 X 20 mm stainless steel screws without shims.

Installation: 

Check trim (1) for damage, replace if necessary.
