51 32 390 Removing and installing / replacing decorative strip on front left or right door

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Open door window.
Remove REAR VIEW MIRROR on front door.

Lever out plastic rivet (3).

Lever seal (2) out of decorative strip (1).

Installation:

During installation, attach decorative strip (1) first at rear to door edge (4).

Decorative strip (1) must match trim (5).

Lever out seal (1) from inside.

NOTE: Start pulling off decorative strip (1) at front (A) and disconnect at rear (B).

Detach decorative strip (1) in direction of arrow.

Detach seal (1) from decorative strip (2).

Installation:

Following parts of decorative strip on window frame (4) must not be damaged or missing:

Plastic rivet
Rubber profile
Seal

Installation:

If necessary, replace faulty clips (1 and 2) on decorative strip (3).
