Removal & Installation (Front)

  1. Front seat belt pretensioners are part of seat belt buckle assembly. Before proceeding, see AIR BAG SAFETY PRECAUTIONS  . Disable air bag system. See DISABLING SYSTEM  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
  2. Remove appropriate front seat. Remove outer seat trim panel. Disconnect seat belt pretensioner harness connector. See Figure . Remove pretensioner mounting screw and seat belt pretensioner.
  3. To install, reverse removal procedure. Tighten seat belt pretensioner mounting screw to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  . Activate air bag system. See ACTIVATING SYSTEM  under DISABLING & ACTIVATING AIR BAG SYSTEM.
