11 22 500 Removing and installing or replacing flywheel

Special tools required: 

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Enlarge special tool 11 9 260  with an elongated hole.

Work out elongated hole on special tool 11 9 260  to 8 mm.

For vehicles with manual transmissions: 

Secure flywheel with special tool 11 9 260. 

Release flywheel screws with special tool 11 4 180. 

Tightening torque: 11 22 1AZ .

Installation note: 

Flywheel is secured with a dowel pin.

Fit new flywheel screws.

For vehicles with automatic transmissions: 

Secure flywheel with special tool 11 9 260. 

Release flywheel screws with a suitable tool (1).

Tightening torque: 11 22 1AZ .

Installation note: 

Flywheel is secured with a dowel pin.

Fit new flywheel screws.

Assemble engine.
