51 32 160 Removing and installing/replacing housing cover on inner left or right door window frame

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove front door trim panel

Security version:

Cover is designed as armor plating and bonded to door window frame, replacement is not possible.

Feed out cable (1).

Lever cover (2) in direction of arrow out of retainer (3).

Installation:

Following parts of cover (5) must not be damaged or missing:

Sound insulation
Foam
Bridge

Replacement only:

Remove speaker (4). See 65 13 050 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING SPEAKER (TWEETER, FRONT DOOR) .
