22 11 001 Replacing right engine mount (N52/N52K/N53)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Secure engine in installation position . See 11 00 670 SECURING ENGINE IN INSTALLATION POSITION (N52) .
Remove underbody protection.
Remove reinforcement plate . See 31 10 010 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING REINFORCEMENT PLATE .
Observe safety instructions on raising the vehicle . See 00...... LIFTING VEHICLE WITH A LIFTING PLATFORM .

NOTE: N53 only
If necessary, remove steering gear cover.
Pull vacuum hose (1) with angle out of engine mount.

Release screws (2) and remove engine mount.

Tightening torque 22 11 1AZ . See ENGINE AND GEARBOX SUSPENSION - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Installation:

Lug (1) of engine mount must point to middle of vehicle.

Engine mount designations:

Right engine mount

Even component number

Left engine mount

Odd component number
