72 12 015 Removing And Installing/Replacing Airbag Module On Left Or Right Rear Door

Incorrect handling can activate airbag and cause injury.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Release screw (1).

Release nuts (2) and remove holder (3).

Installation: 

Tightening torque. See PARTS AND ACCESSORIES - TIGHTENING TORQUES - ALPINA .

Coat nut and thread with paint (any color and type can be chosen).

Fold back tabs (1) of plastic housing and remove airbag module (2) from airbag mounting.

Installation: 

There must be no foreign objects (e.g. screws, nuts etc.) in the airbag mounting in the door trim panel.

IMPORTANT: There must be no foreign bodies (e.g. screws, nuts, etc.) in the airbag mounting (1).

Installation: 

Slots (2) of holder (1) must be positioned over threaded pins (3).

Point angled part of holder (1) to door trim panel.
