65 77 750 Removing And Installing (Replacing) Driver's Seat Sensor

Incorrect handling can activate airbag and cause injury. See 51 00 ... SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR WORKING ON CARS WITH AIRBAG SYSTEMS .
NOTE: To facilitate installation/removal of sensor, move seat upwards fully.
NOTE: Follow instructions for handling optical fibers.  See61 00 ... NOTES ON HANDLING OPTICAL FIBERS .

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Unclip trim in upper rail at front (1) in direction of arrow and remove.

Unlock plug connections (1) and disconnect.

Unlock catches (2).

Installation: 

Make sure driver's seat sensor (3) is correctly engaged.

Feed out driver's seat sensor (3) in direction of arrow and remove.

Replacement: 

Carry out coding/programming. See VEHICLE PROGRAMMING AND CODING .
