65 77 710 Removing And Installing (Replacing) Left A-Pillar Sensor

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Disconnect negative battery cable. See 61 20 900 DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD .
- Remove footwell side trim panel on A-pillar . See 51 43 070 REMOVING AND INSTALLING / REPLACING SIDE TRIM PANEL, FOOTWELL, ON A-PILLAR, LEFT .
- Place carpet slightly to one side.
Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.
Unscrew bolt (2).
Unscrew nuts (3).
Installation:
Tightening torque . Refer to AUDIO, NAVIGATION AND ANTI-THEFT - TIGHTENING TORQUES -- ALPINA
Make sure sensor is mounted without play.
Remove A-pillar sensor (4).
Replacement:
Carry out coding/programming. See VEHICLE PROGRAMMING AND CODING .
