65 12 072 Removing And Installing (Replacing) Amplifier (Top Hi-FI System)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect negative battery cable. See 61 20 900 DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD .
Remove luggage compartment wheel arch trim on left . See 51 47 151 REMOVING AND INSTALLING / REPLACING LEFT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT WHEEL ARCH TRIM .

NOTE: Follow instructions for handling optical fibers. See61 00 ... NOTES ON HANDLING OPTICAL FIBERS .

Pull out retaining plates (1) in direction of arrow.

Installation:

Make retaining plates (1) are correctly seated.

Remove amplifier (2) from holder (3).

Unlock plug connections (4) and disconnect.

Replacement:

Carry out coding/programming. See VEHICLE PROGRAMMING AND CODING .
