64 52 523 Replacing A/C Compressor (N62, High Automatic A/C)

CAUTION: Risk of damage!
Follow instructions for compressor replacement without fail. 
NOTE: A/C system is drawn off. 

Remove suction filter housing. 

Remove front splash guard.

Remove A/C compressor drive belt. 

Version with Dynamic Drive only: 

Lower  stabilizer bar on front axle and secure (e.g. with cable strap).

Loosen screws (1).

Remove lines (2) and (3).

Installation: 

Replace sealing rings.

Tightening torque. See HEATING AND AIR CONDITIONING - TIGHTENING TORQUES -- ALPINA

Disconnect plug connection (1).

NOTE: Secure A/C compressor (3) against falling down.

Release screw (2) and remove with bushing behind.

Installation: 

Make sure bushing is correctly fitted.

Version with Dynamic Drive: 

Release screws (4), place holder (not illustrated) to one side and remove A/C compressor (3) in direction of arrow.

Version without Dynamic Drive: 

Release screws (4) and remove A/C compressor (3) in direction of arrow.
