64 12 577 Replacing Changeover Valve For Independent Heater

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove wheel arch lining at front left.

NOTE: Disconnect water hoses from changeover valve for independent heater.

WARNING: Danger of scalding!
Only perform the following tasks on an engine that has cooled down.

Follow instructions for working on cooling system. See 17 00 ... INSTRUCTIONS FOR WORKING ON COOLING SYSTEM .

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Loosen hose clamps (2).

Disconnect water hoses (3).

Release nuts (4).

Remove changeover valve for independent heater (5).

Installation:

Top up coolant and vent cooling system. See 17 00 039 VENTING COOLING SYSTEM AND CHECKING FOR LEAKS (N62, N62TU) .
