64 11 262 Removing And Installing/Replacing Auxiliary Water Pump (Automatic A/C High)

Only perform this work after engine has cooled down.

Remove design cover from engine.

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Unscrew nut (2).

Open fast-release couplings and detach water hoses (1) and (2) from auxiliary water pump (3).

Remove auxiliary water pump (3).

Installation: 

Guide (1) of auxiliary water pump fixture (2) must be seated exactly in mounting (3).

Replacement: 

Detach auxiliary water pump fixture (1) in direction of arrow from auxiliary water pump (2).

Installation: 

Make sure auxiliary water pump (2) is correctly seated in auxiliary water pump fixture (1).

Fill cooling system. See 17 00 005 DRAINING AND ADDING COOLANT (N62) .
