52 24 532 Replacing Lower Armrest Section For Rear Seat Backrest (Normal)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove rear center head restraint. See 52 14 390 REMOVING AND INSTALLING OR REPLACING FRONT LEFT OR RIGHT HEAD RESTRAINTS (NORMAL/ELECTRIC) .
Remove armrest for rear seat backrest. See 52 25 030 REMOVING AND INSTALLING COMPLETE ARMREST FOR REAR SEAT BACKREST .

Drive through pin (1) towards outside.

Fold up upper armrest section (2) and remove towards top.

Unclip cover (1) towards top and remove.

Gently raise frame (1) on left and right with assembly wedge (2).

Press switch unit (3) on left and right from inside of center armrest outwards.

Disconnect plug connection behind and remove switch unit (3) on left and right.

Unclip wiring harness (1) at designated areas, feed out and remove.

Release retainer (1).

Remove shaft (2).

Bend open holder (3) on left and right and remove.

Installation:

When installing holder (3), do not damage lower armrest section.
