52 17 035 Removing And Installing/Replacing Gearing For Head Restraint Adjustment

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove shaft for head restraint adjustment. See 52 17 000 REMOVING AND INSTALLING LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT SEAT (COMFORT) .
Remove retainer (1) on left and right.
Remove gearing (2) on left and right straight towards front.
Installation:
To ensure identical adjustment of gearings (2), carry out following work step on both gearings:
- Unscrew component (4) until threaded rod (5) is flush with edge (3).
