52 14 380 Removing And Installing/Replacing Head Restraint Mount On Left Or Right Front Seat

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Press catches (1).

Slide component (2) in direction of arrow and remove.

Unhook backrest cover at top.

Unhook cables (1) from component (2).

Detach retaining points (1) on backrest frame.

Feed out cables.

NOTE: Upper cable must be removed from idler pulley.

Installation: 

Make sure cables are correctly laid.

Version - head restraint with AKS (active head restraint): 

Detach retaining points (1).

Remove AKS carrier with height adjustment element.

Detach retaining points (1) AKS carrier.

Feed out cables.

NOTE: Upper cable must be removed from idler pulley.

Installation: 

Make sure cables are correctly laid.
