51 13 400 Removing And Installing/Replacing Rear Center Trim (From 03/2005)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

If necessary, remove license plate
Remove trim for rear lid at bottom . See 51 13 220 REMOVING AND INSTALLING / REPLACING MIDDLE TRIM STRIP ON REAR LID .

NOTE: Releasing the rear center trim on the inside is described for the left side; proceed in the same way for the right side.

Unscrew nut (1).

Tightening torque 51 13 6AZ. See BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES -- ALPINA .

Release screw (1).

Lever out insert nuts (2).

Release rear center trim at catches (3) and remove towards rear.

Installation:

Following parts must not be damaged or missing:

Clips (1).
Screw inserts (2)
Seals (3)
