51 43 251 Removing And Installing / Replacing Trim For Rear Left Or Right Roof Pillar (Rear)

WARNING: Version with head airbag:
Follow  safety instructions for working on cars with airbag systems.
IMPORTANT: Do not use any sharp-edged tools to remove trim (risk of damage to head airbag).

Version with head airbag in rear compartment: 

If necessary, lever out airbag emblem (1) and release screw underneath.

Tightening torque 51 43 1AZ.  See BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES -- ALPINA .

Release clips (2) and catches (4) from trim (3).

Pull out trim (3) towards inside at top.

Installation: 

If necessary, replace defective grommets (1).

Installation: 

Retainer (1) on trim (2) must not be damaged or missing.

Installation: 

If necessary, replace faulty clips (1) of panel (3).

Catches (2) on trim (3) must not be damaged.
