51 43 201 Removing And Installing/Replacing Panel For Roof Pillar At Front (A-Pillar), Left Or Right

Special tools required: 

WARNING: Follow  safety instructions for working on vehicles with airbag systems.
IMPORTANT: Do not use any sharp-edged tools to remove trim (risk of damage to head airbag).

Lever out clip (1) with special tool 00 9 317. 

If necessary, detach mucket in area of A-pillar panel.

Release screw (1).

Installation: 

Tightening torque 51 43 2AZ.  See BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES -- ALPINA .

Make sure clip (2) is correctly seated.

Pull out trim for front roof pillar towards inside/top.

Installation: 

Clips (1 and 2) on instrument panel (3) must not be damaged.

Installation: 

If necessary, replace faulty clips (1) of panel (2).

Installation: 

If necessary, replace defective grommets (1).

Do not damage head airbag (2) during installation.
