51 41 ... Removing And Installing/Replacing Air Duct On Front Left Or Right Door Trim

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Air duct: 

Remove air duct (1) from door trim (4) as follows:

  1. At front pull off in direction of arrow from air inlet trim (2)
  2. At rear pull off in direction of arrow from air outlet trim (3)

Air inlet trim: 

Release welded joint (1).

Lever air inlet trim (3) out of door trim (5) as follows:

Installation: 

Following parts of air inlet trim (4) must not be damaged:

  1. Guides
  2. Lock

Insert air inlet trim (4) in reverse order, refer to previous step.

Air inlet trim (4) is secured by screwing a metal nut onto plastic pin (3).

Tightening torque 51 41 7AZ.  See BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES -- ALPINA .

Air outlet trim: 

Release locks (1) and lever air outlet trim (2) out of door trim (4).

Installation: 

Make sure locks (1) and guides (3) are correctly seated.

Installation: 

Following parts of air outlet trim (6) must not be damaged:

  1. Locks
  2. Guides
  1. 4 Seal
  2. 5 Seal

Coding (3) must be correctly seated in air outlet trim (6).
