51 23 215 Removing And Installing/Replacing Cable For Hood/Bonnet Locks (To Locks)

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Disconnect Bowden cable at connection point . See 51 23 211 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING CABLE FOR FRONT ENGINE HOOD LOCKS (TO PASSENGER COMPARTMENT) .
- Release Bowden cables on hood/bonnet lock on left/right. See 51 23 100 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING RIGHT ENGINE HOOD LOCK or 51 23 110 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LEFT HOOD/BONNET LOCK .
N62 only:
- Remove design cover. Turn quick-release couplings through 90°. Remove design cover on left. Release screws on middle design cover. Remove middle design cover.
Feed connecting cable (1) out of cross-member (2) inwards.
Feed cable (3) out of cross-member (2) and side panel.
