51 21 795 Disassembling And Assembling Outside Handle For Painting

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Release screws (1) and remove light module (2).

IMPORTANT: For further tasks, protect optical waveguide connection against damage and contamination (masking/fabric/insulating tape).

Installation: 

Seals (2) on light module (1) must not be damaged or missing.

Release screw (1).

Release clamping pins (2 and 5).

Specification with Comfort Access/CA: 

Remove cable strap (3).

Note down plug coding of plug (4).

Disconnect cable (4) from plug.

Remove outside handle from handle carrier (1).

Remove seals (2) from handle carrier (1).

Specification with Comfort Access/CA: 

Release screws (1).

Remove handle cover (2) from outside handle (3).
