51 47 490 Removing And Installing / Replacing Front Underbody Protection

Except BMW ALPINA B7: 

Release expansion rivet (1).

Release screws (2) and then catches in area (A).

Remove underbody protection (3) towards rear.

Installation: 

Ensure correct seating.

Centre underbody protection (3) and secure.

Version with bad weather package: 

Release screws (1).

Release screws (2) and remove underbody protection (3) downwards

Installation: 

Replace screws (2).

Tightening torque. See FRONT AXLE - TIGHTENING TORQUES -- ALPINA

BMW ALPINA B7: 

Release screws (1) and remove holder (2).

Release retaining elements (3) and remove underbody protection (4).

When replacing - except BMW ALPINA B7: 

Release screws (1).

Release catches (2) and remove lip (3).
