00 11 ... Checking/Topping Up Oil Level In Rear Differential (BMW ALPINA B7)

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage
To avoid serious damage to the rear differential, it is essential to use only approved transmission  oils in the differential (without lock). See REAR AXLE - OPERATING FLUIDS .

Open check plug (1).

Check oil level.

If necessary, open oil filler plug (2) and pour in differential oil up to lower edge of opening for check plug (1).

Installation: 

Replace oil filler plug.

Tightening torque = 60 Nm (oil filler plug).

Replace sealing ring on check plug.

Tightening torque = 25 Nm (check plug).
