17 11 046 Removing And Installing/Replacing Module Carrier

MODULE CARRIER REPLACEMENT STEP REFERENCE

| Remove design cover. | |
| Remove fan clutch. | |
| Remove fan cowl. | |
| Drain coolant. | |
| Remove radiator. | |
| Remove auxiliary fan. | |
| Draw off fluid from power steering. Unlock hydraulic lines on cooling loop and disconnect. |
Installation: Top up hydraulic fluid. Bleed power steering. Check fluid level in power steering fluid reservoir; top up if necessary. |
| Lift module carrier out of rubber mounts and push approx. 5 cm towards rear. | Installation: Rubber mounts fall out easily, ensure correct installation position. |
Remove module carrier (1) towards bottom.
NOTE:
Secure A/C condenser against damage and against falling down.
When replacing module carrier:
Convert power steering cooling loop.
