WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 BMW X5, 2009 BMW X5, 2008 BMW X5, and 2007 BMW X5. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
WARNING:
Version with xenon headlights: Danger to life due to high voltage! Therefore disconnect all components from voltage supply before removal. Work on the entire xenon lighting system (control unit, ignition unit with lamp) may only be carried out by specialist personnel.
IMPORTANT:
Risk of injury! Risk of damage! Do not make any cutting movements when removing the sprayed-on cover. The cover may only be separated from the housing by punching. A groove of reduced wall thickness shows the punching line. Cutting movements may damage cables inside the headlight. The sealing edge must not be damaged!
