65 77 740 Removing And Installing (Replacing) Left Front Door Sensor

Incorrect handling can activate airbag and cause injury.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Partially detach sound insulation . See 51 48 060 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING SOUND INSULATION IN LEFT OR RIGHT FRONT DOOR .

Release screw (1).

Tightening torque. See AUDIO, NAVIGATION AND ANTI-THEFT - TIGHTENING TORQUES - X5 .

Remove sensor with pin (2) from door panel fit (3) towards rear and disconnect associated plug connection.

Installation:

Make sure fit (2) is correctly seated.
