64 12 676 Replacing electric auxiliary heater - 3rd seat row

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove centre console - 3rd seat row. See 51 16 ... REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING CENTRE CONSOLE FOR 3RD SEAT ROW .
NOTE: The following pictures show the 3rd seat row and seat cushion removed for purposes of clarity.

Disconnect plug connection (1).

Detach Starlock washer (1) from holding rod (2). Installation: If necessary, replace defective Starlock washer (1). Make sure Starlock washer (1) is correctly seated on holding rod (2).

Slide holding rod (1) in direction of arrow out of guides and tilt seat cushion (2) forwards

Release screw (1) and feed out auxiliary heater (2). Installation: Ensure correct line routing (3).
