52 30 413 Removing and Installing/Replacing Backrest Cover For Left Or Right Rear Seat

Special tools required:
- 52 0 050. See 52 0 050 PLIERS .
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove rear panel
- Remove head restraint guide. See 52 30 .. Removing and Installing/Replacing Rear Left Or Right Head Restraint Guide .
Disengage welt in marked area from backrest frame.
Move backrest back.
Lever out welt in marked area from backrest frame.
Remove backrest cover with padding.
Open Velcro-type fastener in marked area.
Detaching cover and padding:
- Release all retainers in marked area
- Remove cover from padding
- Remove all remnants of retainers from cover and padding
Installation:
Insert new retainer (2) with special tool 52 0 050 and bend closed. See 52 0 050 PLIERS
- Padding
- Retainer
- Trim wire in padding
- Trim wire in seat cover
- Backrest cover
Replacing seat cover:
- Pull all trim wires out of backrest cover
- If necessary, cut pockets for trim wires in new backrest cover
- Push trim wires into backrest cover pockets
