52 26 412 Replacing Backrest Cover For Right Rear Seat

Special tools required:
- 52 0 050. See 52 0 050 PLIERS
Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove right rear seat. See 52 26 085 Removing and Installing/Replacing Backrest Frame For Right Rear Seat (Through-Loading System)
- Remove head restraint locators. See 52 26 .. Removing and Installing/Replacing Rear Head Restraint Locator
- Remove trim for rear seat back actuator. See 52 26 .. Removing and Installing Release Unit Trim
- Remove rear panel trim. See 52 26 .. Removing and Installing Left Or Right Rear Panel Trim
Lever welt in marked area (1) out of backrest frame.
Remove backrest cover with padding.
Detaching cover and padding:
- Release all retainers in marked area
- Remove cover from padding
- Remove remaining retainers from cover and padding
Installation:
Insert new retainer (2) with special tool 52 0 050 and bend closed. See 52 0 050 PLIERS
- Padding
- Retainer
- Trim wire in padding
- Trim wire in seat cover
- Backrest cover
Replacing cover:
- Pull all trim wires out of cover
- If necessary, cut pockets in new cover for trim wires
- Push trim wires into cover pockets
