52 16 392 Removing and installing/replacing front left or right crash-active head restraint

Switch off ignition!

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect battery negative lead. See 61 20 900 DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY NEGATIVE LEAD .
Remove rear panel. See 52 13 198 Removing and Installing/Replacing Rear Panel On Left Or Right Front Seat Backrest (Normal/Semi-Electric) .

Unlock plug connection (1) and disconnect. Feed out wiring harness from head restraint height adjustment and foam material.

Lever out locking clamps (1)

Lift out head restraint.
