51 24 010 Adjusting Rear Lid Latch For Rear Lid Upper Section

Prerequisite:
- Upper rear lid section correctly adjusted to fit. See 41 62 030 ADJUSTING REAR LID UPPER SECTION .
- Rear lid lock for lower rear lid section correctly adjusted. See 51 24 015 ADJUSTING REAR LID LATCH FOR REAR LID LOWER SECTION .
Slacken screws for Soft Close Automatic system.
Adjust Soft Close Automatic system and tighten down screws.
Close rear lid, check gap dimensions and checking closing comfort. See BODY GAP DIMENSIONS .
If necessary, repeat procedure.
NOTE:
When rear lid is closed, Soft Close Automatic system must not make contact with or brush against rear lid lock. Look out for scratches.
Version with reversing camera:
After adjusting, check reversing camera and if necessary recalibrate. See 66 53 010 CALIBRATING REVERSING CAMERA .
