51 16 375 Removing And Installing/Replacing Kinematic Unit For GLOVEBOX Lid

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove lock for glovebox lid on left. See 51 16 373 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING LOCK FOR GLOVEBOX LID ON LEFT OR RIGHT .

NOTE: Kinematic unit for glovebox lid consists of reversing lever and damping element with spring.

Close glovebox lid.

Release tab washer (1) and remove pin (2).

Release pin (3).

Remove reversing lever (4).

Installation:

Replace tab washer (1) and pin (2).

Disconnect spring (1).

Release screw (2).

Feed damping element (3) out of holder (4).
