51 16 ... Removing And Installing/Replacing Side Carpet On Storage Compartment (Centre Console)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Driver's side:

Remove trim panel for pedal assembly . See 51 45 185 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING PANEL FOR PEDALS .

Passenger side:

Remove lower trim from instrument panel . See 51 45 181 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING BOTTOM RIGHT TRIM FOR INSTRUMENT PANEL .

NOTE: For purposes of clarity, illustrations show front seat removed.

Release screw (1).

Detach side carpet (2) at clips (3).

Slide side carpet (2) towards front and feed out of retainers (4).

Installation:

If necessary, replace faulty clips (3) and retainers (4).
