51 12 801 Replacing Bracket For Rear Bumper At Left Or Right

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove rear bumper side section

Release screws/nuts (1).

Release expander rivets (2) and remove bracket (3).

Tightening torque. See BODY EQUIPMENT - TIGHTENING TORQUES .

Installation:

Guides in area (A) of bracket (2) must not be damaged.

If necessary, replace faulty metal nuts (1) on bracket (2).
