41 62 033 Adjusting Rear Lid Lower Section

Minor corrections (realignment work) are permitted if the existing adjustment options are not sufficient.

Observe gap dimensions  . See BODY GAP DIMENSIONS .

Adjust rear lid lower section to fit before rear lid upper section.

The rear lid must be provided with all attachment parts for correct adjustment.

Raise trim (1).

Slacken screws (1) on rear lid hinge to rear lid until such stage that rear lid can still be moved.

Adjust rear lid.

When rear lid lower section is closed, lock strikers must not make contact with or brush against rear lid locks.

Height adjustment with respect to rear lid upper section:

Slacken screws (1) and (2) on rear lid hinge until such stage that rear lid hinge can still be moved.

Adjust rear lid.

Adjust rear lid lock  . See 51 24 080 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING DRIVE FOR REAR LID LOCK .
