WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2010 BMW X5, 2009 BMW X5, 2008 BMW X5, and 2007 BMW X5. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
WARNING: Danger of poisoning if oil is ingested/absorbed through the skin! Risk of injury if oil comes into contact with eyes and skin! Scalding hazard! This work may only be carried out on an exhaust system which has cooled down.
IMPORTANT: Adhere to the utmost cleanliness. Do not allow any dirt to enter the hydraulic system.
IMPORTANT: Risk of damage! Adjust minimum distance (A and B) between pressure lines and exhaust system.

Mark installation position of pressure lines to oscillating motor. Release banjo bolts (1). Seal pressure lines and connections of oscillating motor with sealing plugs. Feed out pressure lines towards rear. Installation: Carry over identification to new component. Pressure lines are protected against being mixed up by different thread diameters on the oscillating motor connection. Tightening torque, see 37 14 18AZ in 37 14 ELECTRIC COMPONENTS .
