37 13 ... Removing and installing/replacing pressure lines (front) for oscillating motor/rear axle

Special tools required: 

WARNING: Danger of poisoning if oil is ingested/absorbed through the skin! Risk of injury if oil comes into contact with eyes and skin! Scalding hazard! This work may only be carried out on an exhaust system which has cooled down.
IMPORTANT: Adhere to the utmost cleanliness. Do not allow any dirt to enter the hydraulic system.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

IMPORTANT: Pressure line and connection on valve block must be fitted with suitable sealing plugs immediately after removal!

Release banjo bolts of pressure lines (1, 2) to front axle oscillating motor with special tool 37 1 151. Release banjo bolts of pressure lines (3, 4) to rear axle oscillating motor with special tool 37 1 151.

IMPORTANT: When assembling, make sure that only the sealing plugs of the pressure line to be fitted are removed. Do not damage sealing surfaces of pressure lines.
NOTE: Make sure pressure lines are laid without tension and with sufficient spacing to adjoining components.

Installation sequence for pressure lines:

  1. Install pressure lines (3, 4). Tightening torque, see 37 14 14AZ in 37 14 ELECTRIC COMPONENTS .
  2. Install pressure lines (1, 2). Tightening torque, see 37 14 13AZ in 37 14 ELECTRIC COMPONENTS .

Installation: Check seating and position of line holders (1), correct if necessary.

Release banjo bolts (1). Seal pressure lines with suitable sealing plugs. Installation: Tightening torque, see 37 14 15AZ in 37 14 ELECTRIC COMPONENTS .

Open holder (1) and remove pressure lines. Installation: Replace damaged holder.
