11 28 050 Removing and installing/replacing drive belt for A/C compressor (N52K)(8FRU)

Special tools required:

11 1 240
11 1 241
11 1 242
51 3 180

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove fan cowl.
Mark direction of roatation if reusing the drive belt.

Press drive belt (1) towards front with special tool 51 3 180 .

Turn down drive belt (1) at central bolt in direction of arrow.

Special tool 11 1 240 is required to fit the drive belt.

Consisting of:

1. Installation tool

2. Belt guard

Installation:

Check drive belt of coolant and oil residues, replace if necessary.

Observe direction of roation if reusing the drive belt.

Place drive belt on A/C compressor and mount special tool 11 1 242 on crankshaft belt pulley

Drive belt must rest on end of special tool 11 1 242 .

Pull drive belt with special tool 11 1 241 onto drive pulley.

Check installation position of drive belt; if necessary, bar engine twice (special tool is still fitted).

Assemble engine.
