Removal & Installation

- Before beginning work, fully press the brake pedal several times to reduce the vacuum pressure in the brake booster. This makes it easier to detach the vacuum hose. The non-return valve and the molded hose are permanently connected to each other and are replaced as a single unit. Pull non-return valve (1) out of brake booster. Open hose clip (2). Pull off vacuum hose (3). See Fig 1 .
- To install, reverse removal procedure. Check seal for non-return valve and replace if necessary. Replace hose clamp (2).
