Press sides of shift lever cover (2) together and feed out towards top. Using Special Tool (00 9 341), unclip trim for shift lever (4) from mounting points (3). Disconnect plug connections and remove trim for shift lever (4) towards top.
- Lever out trim (1) on left and right at rear end. See Fig 4. Pull out in direction of arrow.
- Remove screws (1) on center console at rear. See Fig 5. If necessary, unlock plug connections.
- Remove parking brake lever gaiter on center console (2). See Fig 6. Remove screws (1) on left and right. Lift center console (2) at rear. Feed through parking brake lever towards bottom and unlock plug connections below center console.
- If necessary, unclip button unit (1) with Special Tool (00 9 341) at retaining points (2) and lever out in direction of arrow. See Fig 7. Unlock and disconnect associated plug connection. Remove button unit (1).
- Lift center console at rear and, at the same time, pull towards rear and feed out from parking brake lever. Remove center console.
