51 45 263 Removing and Installing/Replacing Instrument Panel Trim On Right

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Remove  wood trim on instrument panel on right. See 51 45 366 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING WOOD TRIM ON RIGHT 

Disconnect Bowden cable (1) for glovebox.

NOTE: In the version equipped with a CD changer, the CD changer is secured with screws (2).

Release screws (1) and (2).

Version with CD changer: 

Pull out CD changer (4) and trim (3) together slightly.

Release lock (1) and detach holder (2) from CD changer (3) on left and right.

Remove trim (4).

Installation: 

When installing CD changer (3), make sure radio retaining pin (2) is correctly inserted in fixture (1).

Version without CD changer: 

Release lock (1) on left/right and remove trim (2).

Both versions: 

Installation: 

Make sure holder (2) is correctly seated in panel (1).

Replacement only: 

Remove button for glovebox.
