51 21 ... Releasing Door Retainer From Left or Right Door Pillar

Special tools required:

41 1 120

IMPORTANT: Cover ball head below door retainer (1) (damage to paint work).

Detach door retainer (1) with special tool 41 1 120 DOOR RETAINER REMOVAL PLIERS towards top from ball head.

NOTE:

To remove door retainer or door seal, feed out seal (2) inwards.

If necessary, push piston rod into door retainer (risk of damage).

Installation:

Seal must not be damaged.

Door outer skin must be situated between outer lip (1) and inner lip (2).
