51 13 400 Removing and Installing/Replacing Rear Center Trim (From 03/2005)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

If necessary, remove license plate
Remove trim for rear lid at bottom See 51 49 005 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING TRIM FOR LOWER REAR LID

NOTE: Releasing the rear centre trim on the inside is described for the left side; proceed in the same way for the right side.

Unscrew nut (1).

Tightening torque 51 13 6AZ . See 51 13 TRIM PARTS, COVERS, HANDLE TRIM

Release screw (1).

Lever out insert nuts (2).

Release rear centre trim at catches (3) and remove towards rear.

Installation:

Following parts must not be damaged or missing:

Clips (1).
Screw inserts (2)
Seals (3)
