16 11 060 Removing and Installing/Replacing Fuel Filler Pipe
After installing fuel filler pipe, check electrical resistance between metal filler bowl and wheel hub.
Measured value approx. 0.6 Ω
Draw off fuel from fuel tank. See 16 00 005 DRAINING AND FILLING FUEL TANK
Remove rear right wheel. See 36 10 300 REMOVING OR INSTALLING FRONT OR REAR WHEEL
Remove rear right wheel arch trim. See 51 71... REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING FRONT BOTTOM RIGHT WHEEL ARCH TRIM .
Observe safety instructions on raising the vehicle . See 00..... LIFTING VEHICLE WITH A LIFTING PLATFORM
Release plastic nuts (1).
Installation:
Tightening torque 16 12 11AZ . See 16 12 FUEL DELIVERY
Unfasten hose clip (1).
Withdraw fuel filler pipe from connecting hose.
Installation:
Replace hose clip.
Tightening torque 16 12 10AZ . See 16 12 FUEL DELIVERY
Unfasten hose clip (1).
Detach hose from fuel filler pipe.
Release screw (2).
Withdraw fuel filler pipe (3) from rubber sleeve (4).
Installation:
When installing fuel filler pipe, make sure rubber sleeve (4) is correctly seated.
Replace hose clip.
Tightening torque 16 12 10AZ . See 16 12 FUEL DELIVERY
