12 61 280 Removing and Installing or Replacing Oil Pressure Sensor (N73)

WARNING:

Scalding hazard!

Only perform this task on an engine that has cooled down.

Installation location: 

Cylinder bank 1 to 6 underneath timing chain tensioner.

Engine oil may emerge when oil pressure switch is replaced; have a cleaning cloth ready.

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Switch off ignition.

NOTE: Illustration does not show exhaust manifold.

Unlock and detach plug connection (1).

Unscrew oil pressure switch (2).

Installation: 

For tightening torque, 12 61 1AZ  , see 12 61 OIL PRESSURE, OIL TEMPERATURE, OIL LEVEL DISPLAY .

Check engine oil level, top up engine oil if necessary.
