12 14 512 Replacing Pulse Generator On Left Exhaust Camshaft (N73)

Necessary preliminary tasks:

(cylinder bank 7 to 12)
Read out fault memory in DME control unit.
Remove center equipment bulkhead . See 51 71 085 REMOVING AND INSTALLING CENTER OF ASSEMBLY COMPARTMENT BULKHEAD

Unlock and detach plug connection (1).

Unscrew screw.

Remove pulse generator (2).

Installation:

Replace sealing ring and coat with anti-friction rubber coating.
