Brake Booster: Installation

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 11 other vehicles, including the 2005 BMW 760i, 2005 BMW 760Li, 2005 BMW 745i, 2005 BMW 745Li, and 2004 BMW 760i. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

To install, reverse removal procedure. Install adapter plate (1). See Fig 1. Brake booster is highly sensitive to damage in area (3). Replace gasket (2), if necessary.
Replace self-locking nuts and tighten to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
Make sure non-return valve cover engages properly.
When installing assembly compartment bulkhead, do not crush cable. Check height adjustment of engine hood contact and correct, if necessary.
