65 82 010 Removing and Installing (Replacing) Control Display

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Disconnect battery negative lead See 12 00 ... INSTRUCTIONS FOR DISCONNECTING AND CONNECTING BATTERY
Remove wood trim on instrument panel on right. See 51 45 366 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING WOOD TRIM ON RIGHT

NOTE: Follow instructions for handling optical fibers . See 61 00 ... NOTES ON HANDLING OPTICAL FIBERS

Release screws (1).

Remove control display (2) in direction of arrow.

Unlock plug connection behind and disconnect.

Remove control display (2).

Installation:

Guides (1) of control display (2) must be exactly seated in mountings of instrument panel.

Replacement:

Carry out coding/programming.

Observe following IDC specifications:
